What is this program?

An eight-week, in-person Applied Generative AI program created by Vista Data and offered in partnership with Peer Power Foundation. You'll learn how to use AI tools hands-on to solve real problems, build a professional portfolio, and earn an industry-recognized micro-credential. The program blends live instruction, guided practice, and a capstone project where you apply everything you've learned.

Who is this for?

Young professionals who want to build practical AI skills for the workforce. Whether you're entering the job market, switching careers, or looking to stand out in your current role, this program gives you the hands-on experience and credential employers are looking for. You must be eligible for an Upskill Mid-South sponsorship voucher to participate.

What are the schedule options?

We offer two formats — both cover the same curriculum and earn the same micro-credential. The Standard Track (Peer Power Alpha & Beta) runs 8 weeks on Fridays starting April 17, 2026. Alpha meets 9:00–11:30 AM and Beta meets 1:00–3:30 PM. The Accelerated Track (Peer Power Gamma) covers the same material in 4 weeks with two sessions per week (Tuesdays & Fridays, 9:00–11:30 AM, starting May 12, 2026). All dates are tentative — you'll receive confirmed dates upon acceptance. All sessions are in-person at the University of Memphis.

How is tuition handled?

Program tuition is 100% sponsored through Upskill Mid-South for eligible participants, including the required Google AI Pro subscription. When you apply, we'll work with you and Upskill Mid-South to confirm your eligibility and issue a sponsorship voucher. All materials, tools, credentials, and instruction are fully provided.

Do I need technical experience?

No. If you can use email and a web browser, you have enough technical background. We start from scratch and build your skills week by week. You'll have a Tech Coach guiding you through every tool, step by step, plus a Program Coach supporting your career development throughout.

What credentials will I earn?

Graduates receive a micro-credential certificate from Vista Data, plus a digital badge you can share on LinkedIn and other professional platforms. The credential verifies your practical ability to use AI tools for real-world problem-solving — a standout addition to any resume or portfolio.

What tools will we use?

The program centers on Google's AI ecosystem: Gemini Gems for custom AI assistants, Google AI Search for research, NotebookLM for document analysis and knowledge management, and Gemini for Google Sheets for data analysis. All tools and subscriptions are fully sponsored for eligible participants.
